Hi everyone, not had a good day, went shopping for toiletries etc this morning, felt a bit nauseus, only out for about an hour. When ready to leave I felt absolutely exhausted, hard to put one foot in front of the other!! By the time I got home I just went straight to bed. Feeling a little better now, just so tired!! Everything hurts, think its stress too, with the platelet problems. Need to rest tomorrow too I think. Have Amelie on Monday, but my sister will come to the appt with me to take care of her, she's good to me!!! Not used to feeling this way, so its hard to cope with it. My neck and shoulder getting really painful again, been reasonably ok since going on the pred, but much worse today. Sad

Hi Barbara

Sorry to hear you are feeling rough today. Best thing for you is rest and warmth for those painful joints. Hope you start to feel better very soon, it's grotty feeling so poorly isn't it?!

Dear Barbara,
Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time today.
Rest, rest, rest and more rest for you I think.
Stress and R.A = bad combination!
Personally, I am a stress head!
If I have not heard from my 3 adult kids for a few days, guess what?
I telephone them!
Almost invariably I hear stories from them that make my hair stand on end
and I get STRESSED!
I even dream about them after these worrying conversations-instigated by ME!
Their catch-phrase is "don't tell Mum!" because they know that the worry makes me ill.
But because I know that they have operated the "don't tell Mum" system for about 20 years now,
I know that if I don't hear much from them they are hiding things!
I always want to "fix things" and in their lives there are so many things that I cannot fix. Only they can.
Rationally, I understand all this, but instinct is a strong thing too.
Please try not to think too much about the Platelet thing, let the Doctors sort it out.
Wishing you a relaxing evening and hoping that your neck and shoulder settle down.
I sometimes have had the odd flare in my neck and shoulder, only to find that it has disapeared again
within a day or two.
R.A is such a weird and mysterious disease in so far as it's there one day and gone the next for specific areas.
Thinking of you,
Fiona
P.S. Your sister sounds terrific.Smile

Sorry to hear that the effect of the pred is not so good now Barbara. I agree that the stress of not knowing about the platelet thing will be bound to affect your stress levels. Hope you can relax and get some rest tonight and tomorrow. Good luck for Monday.

Thanks for messges everyone. Just feeling really odd ((!!!) achey, tired and body feels heavy, cant explain it really. Didnt know about the hot flushes with the pred, although I get them anyway, but its been worse. I dont feel anxious, just worried about tests I think, and also as now I am on the pred and plaquenil whether it will affect these other tests. In a way I wish my GP hadnt sent me for the tests about the bruising in the first place, then I'd still be blissfully ignorant!!

HI Barbie

Sorry you're feeling so stressed out and in pain. If you can, try resting with hot water bottle, put your feet up and relax. Easier said than done, though. Maybe when you find out more about the tests you'll feel a bit better. I hope you find something to help the pain.

Oh no, I am forcing myself to stay up and drink wine as Sunday is the only pleasurable day in Lent! LOLOL

I am relaxing though...whilst Mark watches something gory on tv..we only have tv for films...

Hope tomorrow is a better day for you, I will be thinking of you as I attempt to teach children fractions and grammar! LOL

Love,

Amanda
